An approach to Mozart?s Minuet no. 06, applying a questionnaire proposed by Lewis Rowell, in his book Thinking about Music (09-19)
Our first step is to answer at least two of the several questions proposed by Rowell (09-13) concerning on the thing itself. “Mozart’s minuet no. 06 was adjusted in accordance with Haydn style. They were conceived as dances, because they didn’t follow the form of the symphony. It was a dancing music, which marked the beginning of Mozart’s career as a precursor of waltz. [Erman 51] “His name of baptism, however is Johannes Chrysostomos Wolfgangus Theophilus.” If we take the concept of Minuet, it’s possible to conclude, it was a traditional French dance in a ¾ compass, characterized by delicate movements. [Sinzig 374] “…this dance was performed by pairs, demanding elegance and distinction”. It was very popular in Louis XIV’s court, becoming famous in Europe in XVII e XVIII. It generally used as a third movement in a classic symphony. The piece exists as a derivation of the original melody of German Dances, and it has the dignity of the big symphonies after the composer’s success.” 02 By listening this piece one can question the way it was received in terms of source, transmission and receiver(s). Whatever we could be informed about Mozart is that he really could get the feelings of the audience since he was a child. Of course his father conduced him to the way of music, and his mother followed his career even traveling with him. Mozart said once, to have played for the chairs. He’s fallen in love, got married and this fact is followed by success in his career, after becoming a member of Weber’s family. (See question no. 06).

Music and Dancing in Greenland
While Iceland may boast popular singers and alternative bands such as The Sugarcubes, its musical history is fairly straight forward. Holidays to Iceland could see you attending the performances of Emiliana Torrini and Sigur Rós, or you could spend your time at Iceland Airwaves, a music festival where local and international bands perform at clubs throughout Reykjavík. If you are interested in music, you can see most types of music and performances, as you embark on an exciting specialist holiday in Iceland.
But it is Greenland’s musical history that is particularly intriguing. Greenland’s modern musical scene sees the amalgamation of Inuit and Danish music, combined with the added influences of some Canadian territories, Alaska and Eastern Russia. A rich musical tradition exists here, with all music types from folk songs to rock music forming an integral part of Greenlandic life. Greenland travel could see you dancing to the rhythms of Shamans and bopping to the music of hip-hop artist, Nuuk Posse, and it’s worth investigating Greenland package holidays to see if you can tie in a performance with your trip.

Creole and Jazz, Music of Emotion
When spending time in Louisiana, you can look forward to hearing some excellent and authentic Cajun, Creole, and Jazz music. Whether you are looking to have some fun dancing to a snappy Cajun beat or relax and absorb moody Jazz, you can find your place in the southeast. There is no question that Louisiana has a rich music history worth exploring.
As far back as 1755, settlers from Nova Scotia came to live in Louisiana, and they continued their tradition of telling tales of life in the New World at gatherings through song. Cajun music was born. Often these musicians sang a cappella, with clapping and stomping providing rhythm. When possible, the fiddle became the instrument of choice and families and friends would dance for hours. Through the 19th century, their music was influenced by blues, African and Native American styles, and improvisational singing techniques. For many years, and still today, the fiddle was central to Cajun melodies, but in the early 1900’s the accordion was introduced and impacted musicians. It became popular as its volume could carry across even a packed dance floor. However, it had a much more limited range of keys so some tunes were changed or could only be played with the fiddle. Today, both instruments continue to be an important part of the genre.
